You dont acctually need disk 3 in the UT2003 set to play the game. Its just extras. When it asks for it, you can press cancel and it will work fine. Its only after the Direct X setup, and provided your using 8.1+, it wont cause a problem

I know - but when using it in my old system it can come in handy - and that has the most voltile 50x CD drive in the world - so you can appreciate my caution, lol.

They have a UK office that is more than willing to deal with RMA's (as a last resort) where it is not possible to contact the supplier. They are even known to be reasonably helpful. Just need to get the RMA from from them and away you go. Had my board back to me in 4 days iirc.

The retailer should be your first point of contact though as Komplett is still alive and kicking

cd's ussually crack in cd drives when you buy 10 cent cd's from the flea market. So I never let my friends put cracked ,wet or retarded cd's in my drives. You can damage your cd drive with cheap cd-r's you might think they are a bargain but it could cost you ur cd drive. T/hink ab/out it/

This used to happen a lot in the development labs when CD drives began to get faster and faster, it looks like they were able to strengthen the disks to manage 40X on nearly every drive these days but it appears they have hit a ceiling again over 40 with the cd materials, I expect that the cheaper the disk the cheaper and weaker the materials, although not always.

This is one reason I always use No CD cracks for my games, I like to give CD's as little time in the drives as possible.
