Ahh. You should be able to get current and beta versions straight from Nvidia. Thats why I assumed they where the modded ones.

Heres the beta version right from Nvidias site:

Ahhh. I need to try those out sometime and see if it fixes my crashing problem. The modded driver I used once from guru3d was really good. It was for a game I had which had flickering shadows, and the modded driver fixed it perfectly.

I have had the same problem as you.
I also use the same GPU aswell......

For some reason in BF2 and FEAR (the only 2 games that do it), i need to turn the dynamic lighting down from full to medium. This cures the problem.

I dunno why because this card should let me have everything full (which it does in all other games (Oblivion/COD 2/BF2142).

Its a glitch i think and a new driver or a new patch from EA should sort it.

Yeah FEAR is definitely drivers. Hundreds of posts about it on Guru3D. Though BF2 seems to be fixed in the newer betas, you on XP or Vista, Blitzen?

Nvidia seems to be in a muddle with release numbers but http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_94.24.html are currently reckoned to be the best for XP, released the other day. The muddle is caused by the new control panel, they seem to still be developing and releasing both still http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=225856 Seems to be the same driver but with the new panel, and slightly older.
