I've seen 1Gb sticks too, but only ECC registered jobbies. Scan and Komplett both stock them, I haven't looked anywhere else though.

Theo: no, not SD ram, but Secure Digital cards.. the biggest Scan has is 512mb.

www.7dayshop.co.uk appears to be the cheapest, £160 for the 512mb

Yea sorry! secure digital not sdram, should have been more specific.

£160 :/ i spose its to be expected though.

Dont know what todo about my mp3 player - it only has 64meg onboard and an SD slot but i want something with a couple of gig preferably, but ipods are too expensive

I did actually wonder what you meant by SD.. I couldn't really imagine you putting a SD Dimm in your mp3 player.

    I am such a retard

True, but i wanna get something good. CF sticks are prone to dieing though, which is a bugger when youve spent $$$ on a 3gig one.

i dont know what i want really I want one thatll play 500kbps VBR ogg too, but that aint gonna happen either.

Mm ive got more Compactflash cards than ive had hot dinners, and they all still work fine, the 8mb ones, 16mb, 64mb, 128mb, 256 ones and the 1gb microdrives all in working order.

I dont see how CF can be any more prone to SD cards. Same kinda technology, no moving parts......

for the price that you'd pay for a 3gb compactflash you could buy a Zen or iPod..
