Yup, but for how much you'd be paying for the flash ram you'd be better off flogging the old mp3 player etc and buying an iPod/Zen..

512mb sd is £160, your mp3 player probably won't support that much, and a 2gig cf card is over £400 anyway, you can buy the top of the range iPod for much less..

Only way I see it is if you either flog stuff and get an iPod/Zen, or buy lots of smaller sd cards..

£160 :/ i spose its to be expected though.

Dont know what todo about my mp3 player - it only has 64meg onboard and an SD slot but i want something with a couple of gig preferably, but ipods are too expensive
Get a nice MP3/CD player from amazon or somewhere, got me a Philips Expanium. Good player, doesnt skip, could do with being a little bit louder though.

    Its this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...879129-9918246

Zero running costs if you use a CDRW and rechargable batteries over, and over again!

Yeah, I think I prefer the iPod over the Zen, don't have to put up with any of creative's buggy bloatware then

Oh yeah, don't forget that you're a "student" and get the 10% off
