Unhappy Would This Go In A Shuttle

    HI ALL

am going to get a shuttle very soon prob the sng45 but a couple of things worry me

    a) the tiny power supply (will be running )

    xp2600
    512mg 2700 333 ram
    80 gig hard drive
graphics card (that needs power read on)

my worry is i have purchased this for my current system and when it came i could not beleive the size of it

i aint sure this is gonna fit in a shuttle and also you need to connect a power supply to it hence the psu worry

    all advice would be nice

i aint sure this is gonna fit in a shuttle
the agp slot (at least in the SN45G) is right next to the case, so if the graphics card takes up 2 expansion slots in a regular pc case, it wont fit in a shuttle. (is that also what u were asking?)

Its because - in the world of the PSU - its Quality that counts, not Wattage.

OF course, when you couple super high quality, with high wattage, thats good, but still shuttle PSU's are super high quality, low Wattage, still powerful enough to run a XP3200, 10kRPM Raptor SATA HDD, Radeon 9800 Pro, CD Drive.

    What more you want?

    nooooo noo nooooooooooooo

dont do it, itll work fine for power (mine does!) but I have a SN41G2, and that same card, the beast with a mother of a heatsink, it doesnt fit in !! it comes close, and you can do it with the case just slightly off fitting, but it wont fit perfectly unless u chop a hole in the case, got for a smaller card, i think thats the only card that wont fit in a shuttle

btw, i did run it without the case on to try 3dmark2003 with it, and yes, it worked fine, no power issues on a standard 200W shuttle psu, but the case dont fit, i think shuttles are standard sizes, so it wont fit any other card tho, would work fine.

i was think maybe could possibly mod the case with 2 nice holes for the fan units to peep through from the vga card

also swafeman did you know you can flash that card to the 5950 a380 ultra did mine last night actually cools it more and lets you have ultra settings aswell very easy to do

    cheers

hehe, i heard about it , but never did it, mines on ebay now

got any links to it incase i dont sell it and keep it for myself ?

tis a good idea cutting holes in the case, would give it good airflow to the card, and would probably look quite nice ! i dont trust myself with a jigsaw tho
