    yeah i reckon next year will be the under dog's time. will buy an AMD chip regardless of if intel are doing better

    I believe that samsung are supposed to be the 'biggest' electronics company in he world.

    30 % is a massive difference for a near like for like comparison between core updates. Isnt it
    normally more like 10% for these kind of updates....

    Its 30% in one area. Looks like the average is 5-10% which is pretty normal.
    Its also pretty normal to get sizable performance boosts in some very small areas with only a core update.
    Pentium-Pentium MMX being an example. PII-PIII was another.

    Samsung seem to have their hand in everything these days: HDD's, Optical drives, Memory, Printers, Monitors, TV's, DVD Recorders, Mobile Phones, MP3 Players, Cameras, the list goes on. I remember reading a rumour about Samsung and AMD a while ago but let's hope AMD manage to pull it back by themselves. I think Intel would prefer to have AMD competing with them instead of Samsung as well. Lets see what Barcelona brings first.

    and samsung are doing a good job of it comes out top in both optical and harddrives for me and i wouldnt mind a samsung monitor either, look the biz
