    asus p5n32-e SLI daughter board

    hello,
both the p5n32-SLI and the Striker Extreme both have there soundcard on the daughter board.
if you own eiether of these motherboards and use the daughter board for your sound can you please tell me how good the sound is?
with my new pc i want to get the best of the main componants e.g. motherboard, cpu, ram and power supply. and if the soundcard on the daughter board of the P5n32-E SLI is good enough i will use that for a while until i can afford a creative x-fi
i mean by the time christmas comes i might be able to afford an x-fi with the computer lol.

I think you mean motherboard. The addon card is just basically a few resistors and a chip, all of the sound processing is still done by the CPU and will not be high quality.

Wow, computers are now so advanced they are reproducing!?!

As above, the onboard sound will be fine for most users, If you have a good set of speakers and want the best sound quality, then invest in a sound card. Personally, I think you'll be fine to wait till xmas to get a sound card, the onboard sound will more than suffice.
