Cant see Hard Drive Help!!!!!

hey guys,

im having a problem with my new purchased Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 500GB SATA2 Hard drive.

Im using Vista Ultimate and i cant see it in "My computer"

i've got two raptors on raid0 as C drive and that works fine. also i connected the Hitachi 500gb hard drive on sata3 as a storage but when i go to "my computer", i cant see the hard drive listed there, normally with an additional hhd, windows can see it, sets it as D: and leaves it as a storage drive.

but the hitachi storage drive is listed in the BIOS and in Device manager too! plus i was given the option to install vista ultimate during installation.

can anyone help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a classic mistake people make, when buying drives for the first time. You need to activate it in disk management.

Right click My Computer, click Manage, choose Disk Management from the left column, right click the new drive and go through the options to activate it. It'll probably ask you to restart

u just solved my problem within 10 seconds,

i wz struggling with this problem for 3 straight days seriously u dont know wat i went through to try an firgure this out i even lost all me picturs an documents thats how wrong i went wz jst bout to RMA it as well.
