Maybe you (and the rest of us) could get a USB wiring kit from RS or something (comes with USB on one end and unterminated on the other). Even perhaps consult someone on how to wire it up - there's a dude that does USB IR kits (think it's Melbus mods or something) and his site lists the parts/method on wiring up and IRDA receiver. We could just drop him a line asking how to do it with LCD's and bob's your auntie

okey doke goof m8,drop him aline and find out if you want,,if it can be done ide quite gladly give it a go (using usb) but then theres a small problem of software compatibility for these particular displays,i cant say a great deal about them other than there hyundai pcb boards sporting a 2x20 line display with a green backlight and i have 2 of them (can get a few more tho) give it a go m8,sounds like itle be the only way ule find a true uber cheap lcd display

i still think a group buy would be cool if we could organise it tho.

Have mailed him, though I guess maybe he'd need the wiring config for your specific display? But then, if buying new ones from Maplin's or whereever they'd hopefully come with wiring instructions (?).

A group buy would be cool, but as someone said, it'd really need someone with connections. If you're out there, step forward

reguarding the group buy i think it would be alot safer and more efficient if someone who owned some kindov online comp store or whatever could organise it,it realy would be a great idea if we could all club together and get a bumper load of cheap lcd,s but its finding some1 to head such a shopping spree

I'd definitely be interested in one if we're grouping together.
