Mouse Problems With ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe

    Hi guys,

I have an ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard and a Microsoft 'Razer Habu' gaming mouse. The first problem that I had is that when I hibernated the computer, the mouse would not wake up with it, I would have to physically unplug the mouse and put it back in again for Windows to realise it was there.

I fixed this problem by turning off "Legacy USB support" in the BIOS. Now I have another problem, Windows *ALWAYS* forgets that I have "enhance mouse precision" turned on in the control panel. When I turn the PC off it loses this setting, but when I hibernate it, it is fine.

I have no problems when using this mouse with my DFI LanParty Ultra 250gb.

    Any help is much appreciated,

    Thanks,

    ta2

hmmm, might be motherboard or mouse compatibility with the motherboard. i use a cheap £4 microsoft mouse and mine always worked after hibernation. had a few problems with xp installs on it with that usb legacy support though. kept giving me bsod's in install. id say try it with another usb mouse to see if its the mouse incompatibility or its just that mobo. it's not hard to get another usb mouse from a mate is it?

Try a diff. usb port, or, if it is currently connect to an external hub, connect it direckly to a usb port at the back of the pc (these are often more reliable than front ports for things like mice/keyboards)

It's a £40 mouse, I bought it because it is very high precision and sensitivity.

It's already connected directly to the motherboard at the back.

I know that, I said try with a different mouse, and hes saying use a different USB port, ie switch around each one.
