right, time has come for me to get a new mouse.
any suggestions for around the £20 mark which will work without a mouse mat (my desk is a kitchen work surface)
just for general browsing and playing wow etc.
cheers

A Logitech G5 gaming mouse, (the 2007 version that is blue and black and has the extra thumb button) is about 50-60 American dollars, and slides pretty well on every surface I've tried it on. I'm not sure what the prices would be over there for them, but they are a pretty solid mouse. I just got one, and its the first mouse I liked enough to replace my old Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 (the one from the '02 or '03 era, not the re-release. lol).
Note, you can probably find the old orange-and-grey G5 that only had one thumb button a little cheaper.
Also note: I'm aware its kinda pricey for a mouse, but I don't know how well others would work on that surface; I've only owned 2 mice in the last 5 years. lol My IntelliMouse, and my new G5.
just been down to pc world and bought a microsoft wireless laser mouse 5000.
will see whats its like tonight, its cost me £30, but i didnt wana spend any more.
Bought a vx revolution for my laptop and actually find it better than my desktop's mx1000 becuase of it's size and of course that wheel.
Argos have it at £29.99 ATM
Razer everytime, prices < £30 some place these days, and easily the most attractive and best performing meeces out there
Have mentioned before, but mine was something like 5 quid as ASDA (made by Trust) because I needed one in a hurry. Fully intended to replace it with a Logitech on my next Scan order, but in the end just haven't bothered as it is fine.
