Question Protection for laptop for dirty fingers

OK so will be using my laptop for doing some tasks while my fingers are dirty, what protection is available to protect both the keyboard, screen, touchpad, and the case its self.

    Its a AMILO Li 1718 with a 15.4" widescreen.

    Cheers

    A sink and some soap

Or I guess what you really need is something like this (Linkage) not sure where to buy one from in the UK but I'm sure some investigative work will find something suitable!

Edit: Or maybe just a couple of layers of Cling Film, probably cheaper and you can easily get more if you get it covered in oil/grease/whatever your playing around with! But just be careful not to cover the ventilation holes... that would be bad!

How about a nice compact usb keyboard and mouse? Saves touching the laptop..

Re: Protection for laptop for dirty fingers

I'm not sure if the touchpad will work with something covering it... Don't have a laptop hence no way to test but i thought you needed to use a finger (for example the back of a biro doesn't work) as i think they use conductivity to follow your finger on the pad so covering it with an insulator would stop that from working. The more I think about it the better Mike's suggestion sounds!

Thats a fair point, however the touch pad will work with something like a piece of paper, i think i'll get some of that silicon to cover the keys.

    ordered this:

Find keyboard cover skin protect for Laptop HP DELL Sony Mac on eBay within, Other Laptop Accessories, Laptop Accessories, Computing (end time 20-Nov-07 11:45:32 GMT)

£3.50, not bad, i'll let you know what its like.

Could do with something for the touchpad, and a decent screen protector.

Got my piece of silicone, its not bad, makes a nice covering over the keys and should keep them clean and free from bits of dirt crumbs etc.
