Price check: Canon 400D with 18-55mm and 90-300mm kit + more

Hey guys,

Its looking like my 400D will have to go, as im in need of some cash quickly (christmas etc)

Anyways, id like a price check to see how much I can get and obviously if its worth it

Canon 400D in mint condition, less than 800 pictures since new in May. I dont think I need to tell everyone just how good this camera is, I can post some of my pictures if thats any good

This comes with an 18-55mm kit (standard wide angle lense) and a 90-300mm lense (the non-USM version), a 1GB CF card, Lowepro Rezo carrying case, a Monopod and Tripod with all fittings.

I paid over £750 for all of this, what do you reckon I would get for it? Bear in mind its 6 months old, with all original packaging

Have you tried searching on eBay for similar completed items?

At a guess, £400 for the camera and kit lens, maybe another £100-£200 depending on what the rest of the kit actually is. What exact tripod and monopod?

Looking at 1 retailer only, the body & kit lens is £440. That lens is £100, 1gb card £10-15, the Rezos are £10-50 (I'll say £20) depending on model and it sounds like the tripod and monopod are just cheap ones (so say £25 each).

Given that, the new price would be £625 now (inc. VAT, ex. del). You're probably looking at around £550 all together I guess. You'd might make more off of the tele lens if you sold it separately.
