    Price check please....

Father in law is finally considering upgrading from a P4-2Ghz with 512MB RAM and a Radeon 9600. I've suggested that he could buy my rig 2nd hand. What is the general consensus on what it's worth:

    S939 X2-4400+
    Shuttle SN-26P
    2GB fastish DDR RAM
    Leadtek Geforce 8800GTX
    2x 250GB SATA Drives
    Generic DL DVD rewriter

It's all about 2 years old, and I'm considering going Quad core Intel. What's it worth?

    Re: Price check please....

Will he get full use of the GTX?

The graphics card is worth just over £200 considering the current prices of the OEM GTX's at the minute.

As a system it's not really worth much more than £200 -£250 (without the graphics card) but obviously being a desireable little cube case it may fetch a little more if you were selling elsewhere.

With the GTX maybe £450 - £500? There is obviously little to no room to upgrade it any further where it will count so I wouldn't charge too much more.

    Re: Price check please....

Also Shuttles are known for early system failure (probably heat related) compared to standard systems. What if this happens in, say, 9 months? Might be awkward.

    Re: Price check please....

I agree with staffsMike's prices. IMO (if separating)

    S939 X2-4400+ - £30-35
2GB fastish DDR RAM - £40 (if Crucial/Corsair etc PC3200, more if higher rated)
    2x 250GB SATA Drives - £25 each
Generic DL DVD rewriter - £10
    Shuttle - £100ish
