    TV Tuner vs. Slingbox Solo

I got a sling box for Christmas. I like it, but the problem is that i can not watch a different channel on my computer than what somebody else in my family is watching on the TV that the Slingbox is connected to. How does a Windows TV tuner work? Can I watch any channel regardless of what channel the T.V. is actually set on?

Re: TV Tuner vs. Slingbox Solo

Slingbox is designed for people who travel a lot, particularly abroad. TV Tuner works just like a TV, and that includes you needing an aerial, etc. You can use an indoor aerial where reception is good, otherwise you need a splitter and cabling. Sky is subject to the same limitations as adding a second TV.
