A good case? What a cheek!

The Eclipse-62 is a great case tut but the antecs are good to.

Agreed over the IP-35 unless you require eSATA. Custom PC actually tested the E and PRO versions and for some reason managed a higher overclock with the E

Both overclocks were higher than I would be pushing though so it doesn't bother me. Abit still have great support and are high quality.

£115ish now for C2D, £145 for a quad. Both capable of +3.0Ghz. The quad will last longer than the C2D and offers greater flexability than the core 2 duo.. does to me anyway (even though i'm still using C2D lol).

19" widescreen is so annoying for programming, surfing.. anything other than games and movies which is all I use mine for. 20" (1680 x 1050) is much better.

I am planning to OC, yes, but nothing that will cause any significant risk of system instability. I decided to go with the Antec 900 since it is cheaper, and downgraded from the PRO to the normal version.

I decided to go for the AC7 Pro, since it gets decent reviews everywhere.

My main difficulty now is trying to find a 512MB 8800GT in stock. I am considering going for a Core2Duo E6750 and using the money saved for a cheap 8800GTS, or save more money for going for the more available HD3870. Should I just wait longer? Does anyone know the status of the 8800GT stock? Thanks again.

Just checked overclockers.co.uk and they have plenty of 8800GT's in stock. Personally I'd stick with the quad and 8800GT for future proofing, also the HD3870 should be available for less money not more?

    Hope it all goes well

    Peace
