New PC spec - any advice?
Im building a PC for my sister, she doesnt play any games & spends most of her time on the PC using MSN, music & the web. Iv got a spare 6600GT she can use here so she doesnt need a graphics card, iv also got a spare Xp copy so she will be using that aswell. I also will be giving her my Zalman PSU so the coolermaster 620 is for me.
Budget wise i havnt really been given one, but nothing too extravergant. Im just after a good solid PC that is reliable yet doesnt break the bank.
Anyone got any advice or tips?
Cheers guys.

edit: Does anyone know of any alternatives to the Coolermaster 620watt PSU? Im after a fully modular design, around the same price. I havnt had much luck in finding one but figured it was worth asking. Not only that, the cables that arnt modular(built into the PSU), which cables are they, 1 mobo & 1 graphics card?
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
Change the CPU to the E2180. Its 2.0GHz and more than enough for anything she will be doing.
For you get the 520w corsair HX :)
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
For that setup a Corsair 450W would be my recommendation. Save the electricity bill and your money - that setup really doesn't need 600W+.
Go for the 520W version if you plan on substantially upgrading in time.
Actually the 450W version isn't modular so you might be best with the 520W
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
OP says new PSU is for his pc not hers ;)
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
Looks okay. Have fun building it.
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
ill back Mike, Change the CPU to the E2180, it will be enough, and its quite cheaper.
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
I have just got this case for a second PC. It is superb quality, well built and very quiet with 2 large fans.
Akasa ZEN V2 Tower Case Black w/o PSU (NEW Version)
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
i vouch for the E2180 with a light o/c
Re: New PC spec - any advice?
I'd also agree with the e2180 :)
You can shave a bit off that if you drop down to pc5300 memory
2GB (2x1GB) Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-5400 (667) £26.97
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
both the e4x00 and e21x0 only run on 200fsb so it still gives yopu some overclocking head room.
That motherboard has a built in geforce 7100, so if there's no gameing going on you'll not need a seperate graphics card at all (although a 6600gt will give you some potential esp on games a year or so old)
Might be an idea to ask her on the case (esp colour) and remember to match the dvd colour to the case colour ;)
Saying that Akasa Zen or Antec NSK4000 are both good cheap cases.
