Any more comments on the Q9450? following on from comments about the E8400, it isn`t making me any more confident about the new quads. From what I`ve read the early release often seem to struggle with hitting much more than 4GHZ without a big voltage increase, they don`t seem to be as cool as the 45NM process would suggest (then again the temps. Don`t seem to be reading correctly, anyway).

4GHZ isn`t shabby & I know some have gone much higher, but they do seem a little disappointing. I expect that later revisions will be better - but £220 for a Q9450 + a wait until the end of March (the earliest I reckon anyone will have a reasonable stock) doesn`t look good IMO.
