Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
Coolermaster centurion 5 :p Might be a bit cheap for you at £35, but it's got lots of space, yet isn't a huge towering thing. Airflow is amazing and it looks quite nice too IMO. Side panel is swappable with just about any other coolermaster case panels.
Only downside for people constantly changing components is lack of removable motherboard tray. And it's obviously set up more for air cooling than water.
Varients of this case (510?) are also good.

cheap for me, nonsence love a bargain lol ty we got a start :)
u got the silver ?
thats not a bad case to be honest, hows the build quality ?
negatives are the amount of fans only 2, so not super cool ? but u say its got good airflow, got any temps ?

Black/silver yes:

Build quality is ok - it's very solid but there were a couple of things like one misaligned PSU screw hole (don't know if it was the case or the PSU at fault) and on my version the default fans only had 4 pin molex connectors (not the 3 pin motherboard header ones) - however I've seen later versions that didn't have these problems. Oh - one of my front USB ports has gone too.
You don't need tons of fans if you set up proper airflow - if you have a sideways CPU cooler (like arctic cooler freezer pro) and a GPU that exhausts out the back of the case you can set up a great airflow with cool air coming in the whole of the front of the case (it's mesh) and exiting out the back. I'm on a overclocked X2 3800 which isn't really comparable to intel temps, but I'm on about 37/26C idle for CPU/hard drive, and 44/26 load. I have a 'hot' x1950XT (also overclocked) but the airflow is such that the fan hardly ever speeds up and becomes audible.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
its really nice, ive got a sticky up cpu fan lol (big typhoon) not a side one. im really thinking about the Coolermaster centurion 5...good price as well...
how do think it will compare to the Coolermaster c90 which is a added £10 ?
Coolermaster CM690 Dominator Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU - Ebuyer
also this is the 534 version
Coolermaster Black Centurion 534 - No PSU - Ebuyer
it supports 3 120mm and comes with 2 120mm instead of the 1 120mm and the 80mm of the 5 version, same price 2.
so many cases :S ...

Check out the Aerocool Aeroengine 2 and Extreme Engine 3T:
Aerocool AeroEngineII Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU - Ebuyer
Aerocool ExtremEngine 3T Black Mid Tower Case - No PSU - Ebuyer
I originally paid £70 for one of these when they were released, they're a bargain now at £50.
Aeroengine 2 has a windowed case which holds 2x 12 CM fans, the 3T has a black side pannel with a whopping 26 CM fan, but good luck getting all the dust back out :p Also they have a 14 CM intake fan (The supplied intake and exhaust fans are extremely silent)
I have a dust guard on both side fans to keep the dust out.

The airflow is slightly less as only the sides of the front are mesh, and the side fan/opening is only really neccessary if you have a vertical CPU fan (like the default Intel/AMD ones) - if you're going for totally front->back flow like I did then it's less useful. That said, it will cool retail coolers/non-exhausting graphics cards very well.
Certainly I'd consider the 534 as a good alternative to the 5 (scan have both). With a quiet power supply (I used a silverstone 550 for the 534 build) it was silent.

Airflow in the Aerocool cases I linked is better then in any other case you will find :)

I very much doubt that. There's more to airflow than just sticking an inefficient whopping great big fan at the front :p (not to mention the 'fake' fan that gets in the way as well).
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
The coolermaster CM690 is a great case with really good airflow. I'm sitting here with my overclocked 3Ghz Q6600 at 32,28,26,26.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60

The ones on the side help a lot. You get one 12 CM fan directly above your CPU, and one above your GPU.
I personally wouldnt reccomend any case without a side intake fan, but its up to you which one you get.

A cool youtube vid of a pimped Aeroengine II :p

I built my US PC with the NZXT Hush, because what I wanted was a case that was quiet, fairly small and looked OK in my open plan living area. It does the job very nicely. It was a bargain too at $65. Downsides - you won't fit any monster HSF fan as room is quite tight inside, and the mobo tray is not removable, so you don't want to be doing rebuilds very often.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
You can't go wrong with a coolermaster case, great build quality.
Re: Best Gaming Case For around £60
mmm the NZXT cases are hot, but sound a bit cramped Thorsson u havent by any chance got sum juicy pics of your rig ? would be really helpfull
