which would be better for a Q6600?
would be looking at an OC of 3GHz, maybe 3.2.
i'm guessing the scythe would be better, but is the Freezer 7 a good CPU cooler?
will i get free delivery on either of these?
how much do you have to spend for the free delivery?
edit: open to any other suggestions under £25 not including delivery.
There is no competition.
The Scythe Mine is better in EVERY way.

how will the performance compare to the Intel stock fan? and will it be louder or quieter?
You wont even hear it above you GPU fan.
The temps this produces is amazing. I still cant believe it cools this well for under £25.
Just make sure you take you time fitting it and use the AS5 properly.
Im running my Q6600 @ 3.2ghz atm (as you want to) and under load its 39 degrees. I took it to 3.6ghz to benchmark and it didnt go higher than 46 degrees load.

i like the sound of this!
what is the best way of installing the AS5? i just put a small stripe down the middle of the processor last time and let the heatsink spread it out.. is this a good way to do it?
right now if i run Orthos for an hour i get temps of 70'C under load at stock speeds. it's absolutely terrible! i don't understand how they can sell this heatsink and fan with this processor and class it as a capable cooler!
thanks for the advice and everything guys :)
i'll post my temps up once it arrives tomorrow..

I have the arctic freezer - is actually a bad cooler?
Or just infererior to the Scythe?

i don't think it's a bad cooler becuase it's sooooo popular, i just think it's inferior to the Scythe, but it's also a tenner less expensive. they include it in a lot of reviews and stuff so i'm sure it's not a bad cooler.

It's not a bad cooler at all, I used to use one.
I was running it on a Pentium D which are not cool chips and the fan did get a little noisey as it was running fast most of the time, but it was still better than the stock cooler. ;)
For £15 it's hard to beat, although now there are some better low cost coolers out.
The Akasa AK-965x3 is a good example, basically the same cooler for slightly less money
The Scythe Mine is another good example, slight more expensive but not loads more and better performance.
For Price vs Performance the ACf7p used to be the best, but I think the Mine has that crown now.
That said there have been a few more coolers released since then, cooler reviews tend to be few and far between so it's hard to know how well they stack up.
