I generally try www.overclockers.co.uk www.ebuyer.com www.dabs.com I think these give a fair indication of price.

ps. you sure that a 2.4 will oc to 3.4 without using water cooling? That seems a big increase, but then my knowledge of Intel is fairly limited atm, but...

pps ah I see your problem, just had a quick look and can't really find P4 2.4's around, guess they're getting on a bit now. try www.ebay.com perhaps? I guess you'd be looking at around £100 +vat perhaps for your P4.

OK, I'm an idiot, yes, I'm the first person to admit it :-)

Right, 2nd hand, about £80 for the CPU, you can get a P4 2.66 boxed for around £140, so I'd say £80 for yours, maybe a tenner more. For the mobo, erm, £40-£50 I;'d hazard a guess at. But like I said, I'm not as familiar with Intel anymore, I much prefer AMD goodness.

    Steve

ps also depends who you can sell it to, if you have no morals then you could find the village idiot and probably sell it to him/her for £200, but there ya go...

e-bay perhaps. I'd personally try and find an unsuspecting mate (ahem Jonf looking at you) to try and sell them to, you normally get the quickest and easiest sale that way.

I think there is a forum on Hexus though that you can sale your old stuff on, perhaps try there as well...
