    CPU and Graphics Combo

    Okay,

Situation - I have a new C2D E8400 and E6750 but need to sell one to fund a new graphics card.
What I cant decide on is which one. I could sell the E6750 for £90 and the E8400 for about £140. The E8400 would almost pay for an 8800GTS G92. or do I stick with the E8400 and save some money along with the money from the E6750 for a new GPU.

Basically is the E8400 worth roughly £50 more than a E6750?

And anyone know how much the E8400 will cost when there is normal stock levels?

    Re: CPU and Graphics Combo

I would sell the E8400. As you say it will pay for the better graphics card which will aid games far more than an extra bit of CPU grunt.

    Re: CPU and Graphics Combo

The E6750 should easily go to 3.2GHz which is more than enough for games.

Sell the E8400 and get a better graphics card.
