    Best Cloth Mouse pad?

Have decided that after years of not using a mouse pad its time to get one again, since my desk is getting all dirty....

I don't like the hard plastic/metal desgins as I like control over speed. I've looked around alot and there doesn't seem to be that many options for cloth mats. The best ones I've found are the Razer mantis control and the steelseries Qck. Did look at the steelseries 5L but it seems like the surface is more like a hard mat than a cloth one.

Don't really mind paying a lot as long as the pad is good, any suggestions?

I personally love the Everglide Titan that I use. Huge cloth pad that works really well and gives me acres of space to play with:

    Re: Best Cloth Mouse pad?

I spent along time looking for a decent cloth mousemat. I tried the everglide as it looked the best but as some reviews also pointed out, the corners fray after a while.
The Razer Mantis mats are excellent at what they do but I just dont take to the designs.
In the end I went for a SteelSeries QcK and very happy with my choice.
I went for the 'mini' as I have little desk space and I use hi dpi on my mouse anyway. This only costs about a fiver aswell.

Seconded... most of mine hangs over the edge of the desk, but I'm very happy with it.

Creative X-Fi freeby mousemat at home

Best one I've ever used as it's thick rubber with a cracking fabric surface which makes using the MX1000 a joy on there.

I've got a still sealed Qpad EC-R at home in it's metal tin as the creative one has been excellent.

I have the same problem, I don't like the look of the mantis as much its a bit too 'out there' for my liking. But heard that it has a bit more resistance than the Qck. Like I said control is probably the most important thing I'm looking for, doing a bit of video editing and when playing FPS I do prefer to snipe.... that's why I'm not looking at any of those uber speedy pads....

I never got one with my x-fi... any chance I can get hold of one of them?

I've looked at this pad as well, how's the resistance? does it feel like a cloth pad?

    Re: Best Cloth Mouse pad?

the noidpad is my first cloth pad (previously had the S&S), so i'm not sure how it compares with the others.
the resistance is low and so it is fairly quick.

how does it compare to the S&S? I've used a hard pad before but didn't like it because i thought it was just too fast, i had trouble controlling the mouse. i'd generally 'overshoot' in both windows and in games, if there's not too much difference between the noidpad and hard pads then it probably won't be right for me....

Are they really that good?! The fact that he has an unused qpad because of it, seems like it may well be an awesome pad....

i don't think it would be the right mouse pad for you then, it is pretty quick much like the S&S.

I feel my QcK gives me excellent control over the mouse with none of this gliding/sliding nonsense. Plus it is only a fiver so might aswel try it out. You will be amazed at how great it is for the money.

    Information - SteelSeries
