Cheap and cheerful switch?

Flat m8 has moved out and taken switch with him which i used to connect my ps3 as router is miles away

So can anyone recommend a very cheap switch that will connect a cable that comes from the router to it followed by 2 cables running of it into my ps3 and pc.

Thats a gigabit one. 100mbs ones even cheaper at around £16

I got a some skanky £5 Ebuyer value switch a few years ago. Looks like crap, weighs next to nothing, but has worked absolutely fine for 3 years now. Can you really go that wrong? Maybe others have horror stories of cheap switches...

For simple jobs like adding devices in a classroom I just grab a cheap DLink or Edimax, and I've never had any issues. Obviously I wouldn't use them for anything critical.

Yes, it's 4x 10/100Mbit ports are essentially a 4-port switch. However you will probably want to go into the setup & turn DHCP off otherwise you might get conflicts.

You should be able to, i think on some though you have to make sure you don't use the 'IN' port. Some you have to change some setting and others they just work with no changes needed, just have a look on google and you should find out within 5 mins or so.

The majority of the SOHO ones come with built in four port ethernet switches so for those yes you can.
