    antec 900 fan broken

    Hi,
I accidentally snapped 3 of the fan wings on the 200mm fan at the top of the antec 900. Obviously, it doesn't spin properly now as the weight is uneven, so it sounds like a washing machine!

Could I just super glue the wings on?
Or should I buy a new 200mm fan? I don't know how easy it would be to get at and then remove the toher one though.

    help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Ed

I would try super glue first... only try to replace it if super glue doesn't work

Yeah it's worth a shot, I think you might need something as well as superglue for it to work though. Time will tell. The antec big boys as they are reffered to around £15 but you could try and email antec for a new one.

They are suprisingly efficent and generous actually. I requested (expecting to be shown the door) a new cable for my notebook cooler as I had snapped it and really couldn't suggest it was anything but my fault, couple of hours later I get an email saying it was shipped lol

Yeah, I've dealt with Antec support before and they're VERY good, but I am unsure of how to get at the 200mm fan. Removing the top panel doesn't look easy. Anybody done it? Also, i don't really want to remove mobo, etc to do it.

    Re: antec 900 fan broken

    Thankyou mike.
I'm going to try super glue first (when I get some which isn't fully solidified inside ) and if that doesn't work, I'll give Antec an email.

you don't need to email antec edd, just search for big boy fan on google and you'll find the antec fan.
unless antec are sending it free
    the fan usually costs £15

"Big Boy Fan" sounds like a large male supporter. How unsavoury.
