    Re: My HTPC Thread

Liking the mini ninja. Do you have to take the mobo out to fit it? I might stick one in my htpc as the heatsink is probably the loudest bit. Or perhaps just clean all of the dust out of it.

Yes i agree with the amp part(are you buying one?), what are you doing to get 5.1 currently?
I think PowerDVD does, I will check once I have it installed...

Well I haven't set it up yet. No sound at the moment lol. I need to get Windows installed properly first

Well I put it on before the mobo went in the case, but I can imagine it being done inside the case, although it would be very difficult because of the size... TBH, you are better off removing mobo from the case before fitting it.

I followed that guide on my current desktop a couple of months ago, but I couldn't get accelerated playback

    Re: My HTPC Thread

I tidied it up, its quite nice now. I'm sure staffsMike will love it... Will put a pic up later

menthel, after checking again I can confidently say that you will have to take the mobo out completely to put the ninja on safely... you can't get to one of the push pins thingies as its in the corner of the case. You can push it in with a screw driver or something, but then there is a good chance that the screw driver will damage something on the motherboard...

Thanks again. Perhaps I will hold off. I can never be bothered to remove my mobo just for a bit more peace and quiet.

    Re: My HTPC Thread

I don't suppose it's long enough to run the circumference of the mobo is it?

It's a tricky one for sure.

Hell no... it would reach the hard drive compartment (the messy one) and have an inch or so spare.
