Archos 605 Wifi

Probably going to get myself one of these when I get back from this trip.

Been looking at the 160GB version.

Anything I should know about them first?

I've got an AV500-100GB right now that doesn't really get used much. It's a bit overly bulky and the interface is a bit pants. How is the Gen 5 software with the touchscreen to use in comparison?

I can use the my phone as an access point for the wifi, so can get internet content on the move so that shoul be cool on the larger screen.

I also noticed there is a GPS addon for it now too. Anyone used it? looks pretty cool if you ask me, a lot more comprehensive than the TomToms i've used (admitedly they have been older models) and quite a lot more on screen at one time too.

I've got a 40GB Archos 605 Wi-Fi meself
I've bought the browser plug-in, and two of the games packs for it.

I have a AV500 60GB, and only noticed the 605 supports satnav this morning, on the DABS mailer. Prrrrrrrrrretty cool. Uses same maps as TomTom. Would like to know how comprehensive the software is vs TomTom though.

well thats £4 cheper than eBuyer. But then Dabs probably have postage on top.

I'll probably order it in 2 weeks, then it will be waiting for me when I get home

Really tempted with the GPS add on. I know the bracket is about the same money as a cheap SatNav, but the screen on the 605 will be much much better than those. Also means one less device to charge/carry.
