    Question Replacement for IP35-E, IP35 V or P?

My IP35-E has been RMA'd and i've been offered an IP35-P as an alternative, I know this is a lower board (mosfet cooler, looks, etc) but how does the P/V compare? Googling throws up lots of info not all the same!

Should I be settling for this 'lower' board or should I insist on something else?

    Ta guys!!

Never except anything lower than your are sending back.

If you had a BMW 320 that needed to go back would you take a BMW 316 as a replacment?

but the mobo is the closest thing to what i had, the trouble is finding anything so close, the alternative may be a refund of a reduced amount which still does me no good!

If they can't repalce at the same standard they should upgrade you imo. They probably don't have to but they should lol

    Cheap P43 based board maybe.

I agree. If it needs replacing then thats not your fault and so you should not have to take a step down.

Apart from the cooler, are the standards the same?

Same number of slots, same CPU support etc? You can't really say you don't want a board because it doesn't look as good. From what I can see it is pretty much the same. Same number/type of slots, same CPU support, better memory support.

    Re: Replacement for IP35-E, IP35 V or P?

Yeah, I had this issue with a iP35 dark raider now being end of life.

I told SCAN that I wanted a quality board so they refunded all my money for the original and let me choose a replacement that I actually wanted. They even threw in free postage for the replacement...
