    Sharkoon laser mouse

Thinking of getting a new laser mouse, my 1.5month old EV laser mouse has broken, well it still works just the scroll wheel has broken, so I was looking at this mouse: http://www.scan.co.uk/product.aspx?ProductId=19279

Is it any good? dont want another cheap quality mouse, but my budget isnt very big either, only a tenner.

    Re: Sharkoon laser mouse

I have the one above that which is liek sharkoon rush gamer mouse and that was only 15 quid..Its very good..Has on the fly dpi switching and is overall great..only thing i dont like about it is its scroll wheel...in games and websites it sometimes moves the other way when i move it down...Otherwise Sharkoon are a very good budget brand...

I bought on of those a few months back as a back up gaming mouse. I like it so much, i use it all the time for gaming now.

The sensitivity changing on the fly is great and it feels very robust.

    Re: Sharkoon laser mouse

i hav a wolf king, and it is very comfortable. The dpi switching is handy if you need to sniper someone long range and they are a few pixels wide, and the multi shot button is handy with the g3 on COD4, it makes it deadly. Also, it has 2 programmable buttons, which you can write macros for, set to open files/programs, or just assign a key stroke.
I have also dropped it a couple of times about 3 - 4 feet to the floor, and it has survived with no sign of this

    Re: Sharkoon laser mouse

I have one of the A4 tech x7 series (X-750BF to be exact) overall it's a nice mouse, the rubberised material surface is very nice, buttons nicely placed, the shape is ok (althought personally I'd prefur something slightly more hummpy) the cost was low.
The bad side is the speed control, it goes from sluggish 600dpi to a blistering 2500dpi, that's not the problem it's the fact you have to cycle through the speed settings, so it's not great when you need to swap between sppeds.

There's a review of the Sharkoon rush here
    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Sharkoon/RushMouse
First thing to note from that review is that the 5 button is not exactly true, you actually have 3 buttons (left, right, wheel click) + 2 speed buttons.
Thoes orange side buttons are speed up + down, after owning my x7 I can see a real advantage to this speed setting control.
Depends on which you want more the speed control or extra buttons.

A can sugest the Logitech MX400 Laser mouse, it's more money at £22 and no speed control but I found it a nice mouse to game with. 2side buttons and tilt wheel.

After looking up some info on the wolfking trooper, looks like scan's website is wrong this is a Laser not an optical mouse (Blitzen can you confurm?)
It uses a cycle speed setting but with only 3 speeds that's ok.
    Overall for £15 looks good.

Yup, too many. But each seems to lean towards different mice, so that's somewhat interesting.
