    Question Advise on new build please

    I have though long and hard about this build and have more or less decided on the following (Scan prices);

    Asus P5Q-E £95.63
    Q6600 GO £111.61
    Twin2X4096-6400C4DHX £65.38
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro £14.91
    Sapphire Radeon HD4870 £176.12
    Corsair HX520 £64.38
    750 GB Samsung HD753LJ Spinpoint F1 £57.56
    Optiarc (Sony/NEC) AD-7201S-0B £16.79

    I already have an Antec P180 case and an OEM copy of Vista 64bit (home premium)

    I would obviously like to hear your opinions on the build and I also have a few of questions;

    As the P5Q-E can control chassis fan speeds and the P180 stock fans have manual L/M/H switches would I be better off replacing them with some Yate Loon D12SL-12's?, if so where is the best place to buy them/does anyone do free delivery?

    Secondly is the Freezer 7 Pro up to some mild overclocking (3 to 3.2 Ghz) or should I look at another cooler?

    Lastly is there anyway I can get away with not buying a new copy of Vista?

    Thanks

    Jon

    Re: Advise on new build please

    Consider another cooler. The freezer is just annoying .. i have one.

    I have a scythe ninja rev b in my P182 and it works a treat There is also the xigmatek tower on scan of the thermalight ultra 120 extreme to consider.

    If you find the Tri-cools to loud on low you could go for the yate loons which work very well undervolted. Specialtech sell them for about £4 not free delivery though.

    other speeds here too

    THey also sell nexus which as pretty much the same as yate loons and the scyteh slipstreams which have gone down well at SPCR

    The other change I would make is going for the Western Digital 640GB AAKS as it's it's one of the fastest, quietest drives available and is a snip at £51 on scan.co.uk (where you will get free delivery after 20 posts here).
