    Seasonic S12 600W psu discussion.

right i was going to sell this to a friend and at the same time one of his mates said its not "good enough and doesnt have enough power on the 12A rails.."

hes upgrading (i told him wait till i7) and has 600~ approx to spend..

so i suggested he bought my fully working currently unused PSU for about £40..

he then brang up that it would be skimping to go for my PSU and to get this:
    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126213
    now thats over £100 more..

yet has 68A on the 12v..

would buy my PSU and think its capable for many years to come or waste over £100 extra and get the 850W or whatever psu becuase the seasonic just isnt capable anymore in the future..

Overrkilll... Unless he is going for dual 4870x2 and lots of other hardware for his new build but with £600 he will have spent that budget on the 2 X2's

You should advise him that even powerful systems don't break 400W barriers with single cards.

Re: Seasonic S12 600W psu discussion.

Moogle is correct, 95% of people with gaming systems dont need much more then a good quality 450 watt psu. Unless you are intending for a gtx280 in sli, then that enermax is a complete overkill.

Your Seasonic S12 600W is a very good psu, and will handle the vast majority of pc's you build around it.

Dude, slap him, please, from me

Aren't seasonic one of the best makes? And 600w is more than enough for a £600 build lol.

Tell him to come on here so we can 'talk to him'...

Tell his mate to stop talking out of his arse and to only open his foul smelling mouth again when he actually knows what he's taking about!

Until recently my S12 600w was powering the following 2 x 15000rpm scsi drives, 2 x 7900GT, 3 x 250gb Samsung Spinpoints, Water pump, 7 x 120mm fans. And the whole system was overclocked as well. It handled all of this without any fuss or drama and all voltage rails remained rock solid.
