I have got one of these and it works very well; and because my pc is in the corner of my room and is kind of hidden, the aerial really helps to get a good signal. However, do not install the software that comes on the CD with it because it doesn't enable all the security options; go to the Ralink website and download the drivers and software for the RT2500 chipset (which is what it uses) (http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Hom...t/Windows.html 4th link down).

Another anecdote about the aerials. My brother got one of these: http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=631616 but couldn't get a signal in his study, which is detached from the main house. Then he got these: http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=635937 and now he gets a storming signal.
