I need a KVM switch with DVI and audio I/O for 2 or maybe 3 systems capable of 1920x1200 resolution. What are my options for good quality device for reasonable price?

I got one of these. It works fine.
Not around too often!
those suckers look quite expensive. i've read a review of 2 port ATEN KVM on hexus just now and it looks the perfect device. Though for 80 quid I may rethink the necessarity of having such thing
One can never stop saying Thank You
I have one of These and it works well.
DVI; USB mouse & keyboard; audio.
Only two port though, perhaps take a look around the site I've linked to, they may have something that handles more machines.

I have one of these. Not cheap but does the business. Only thing I would say is your computers BIOS needs to be up to date so that the keyboard/mouse emulation works when you boot up
One of the cheapest but quality 2-port KVM switches you're likely to find that also has DVI & audio support is this Aten CS52D from Scan for £40.88.
Have been after one for the last month, but it's always out of stock - wondering if I should pre-order one, but it could take forever.
4-port DVI audio switches are quite dear, as you've discovered.
In my experience the thing which kills you cost-wise is:
- More than 2 ports
- DVI
- USB switching so you don't need to use PS2 mouse/keyboard
If you can live without those, KVMs are cheap. If you need all three, it's going to cost you a couple of hundred sovs. Even if the switch itself is pretty cheap, 3-4 sets of cables probably won't be. My Avocent 4-way USB DVI Audio KVM cost me a couple of hundred sovs - it works brilliantly, but is a bit picky about power-up sequence, so I tend to leave it switched on all the time. It's also had a big tiff with my Mac Mini just recently
Oh B0ned0me
As previously mentioned I also use an Avocent 4 way USB DVI Audio KVM switch also with PC and Mac Mini. the thing to do is to ensure the bios on the PC is athe very latest to support keyboard emulation - this resolved my power-up sequence issues
