New Laptop needed, recommendations needed.

Hello all,

As it appears to be the season of sales, i've decided its a good time to buy new laptop. Unfortunately my knowledge about them is extremely limited. So i was hoping you guys could help me out.

I have a budget of £500 and the only defining thing i really need is a 160GB+ HDD.

What sort of thing will you be doing with it. 160GB isnt hard to come by really.

Dells studio 15 is really quite nice, I tried it out in currys the other day and gets good reviews apart from being a bit chunky

Whats the problem with it being Acer? I have had more issues with Dell. Company has 25 Laptops from Dell 9 have had screen problems or Keyboard failures. Still all from the same batch so that might be the reason.
