help with overclocking

hello

i would like some advice on how to overclock my system

i have a scan 3xs system and the specs are
cpu:intel e8600 - at stock
mobo:asus rampage extreme
gpu:sapphire 4870x2
psu:be quiet 850w
hdd:150gb velociraptor
mem:4gb corsair - 1333

i would like to overclock this to over 4ghz, oh i forgot to mention i have a zalman 9700 cpu fan,
how can i achieve this, im a complete noob to this subject aswell

i would appreciate all the advice
