I remember it was July 2007 when the Q6600 with a different stepping came out.
Supposed to run cooler than the previous one.
Having found an article (from Sept 08) about a change of stepping for the E8400 from C0 to E0, I was surprised because what on earth could you still improve on this CPU ?
