    Memory Help - Corsair TwinX DDR2 PC2

    Hi Guys

I have randomly been getting BSOD while I have been gaming. I ran MemTest about 30 mins ago and it has already found 47 errors:

    Item: 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair TwinX DDR2 PC2
    Purchase date: 02/07/08

What's the best way to get these sorted, do I go through Scan or Corsair?

    Thanks

p.s I am not overclocking anything on my hardware, everything is default.

If you live locally just take it up to Scan for a clean swap, otherwise:

    http://web6.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Suppor...px?QueryType=R

    or

    http://www.corsair.com/helpdesk/default.aspx

I'd vote for Scan as you can stay in contact with their guys through the support forum and they've never been anything but great with me.

  3. Received thanks from:

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

I think 2.1v is a little high for non-OC'd DDR2. Try it at 1.8v - not sure if that will work but it's worth a try. Also, what is the URL for Memtest? Thanks

    - The link for Memtest http://hcidesign.com/
    - Tried 1.8V, made no difference
    - I have contacted Scan yesterday and I am still waiting for a reply

Thanks for the link. Just wanted to add it to my software toolbox
Sorry my advice didn't help - have you tried this RAM on another motherboard or tried other RAM on your motherboard? I thought it would be unlikely for both modules to be defective, but since they are paired for dual-channel, they are most likely from the same batch.
