Put pc together and again it wont boot, stupid thing
on the LED on the mainboard says 'C1' - anyone got any idea whats wrong with it then ?
ive looked in the manual and the closest i can find is C1h (which is 3 chars, when the LED only has 2 space for letters?) anyway its some memory issue, but mine is in right, in the right banks, and works fine
any ideas?

It is a memory error - the 'h' means it's in hex.
so how do i sort it ? ive got 2 x 256 twinmoss pc3200 ? they work fine in my shuttle

Try just one stick.
Then if you can, set the CMOS to use a slightly higher voltage - sometimes two sticks need a teeny bit more, but I still doubt that'd cause a POST error.

tried it with 1 stick, in each of the 3 mem slots, same c1 error
ive got 3 sticks of ram, so ive tried it 9 times, and still the same, yet when i put the ram in my shuttle, works fine ?
i got it to CF before, which was check bios r/rw capability, but after resetting went back to the stupid c1 error

Get some other RAM to try - it might hate TwinMos PC3200 for some reason (dunno why.)

Doesn't matter how nicely you've treat it, it could still be dead. I've abused a mobo for years and had it never die, then there's the ones that are dead on arrival...

Well trying another PSU might help, or trying that PSU in another system and getting the voltages from the BIOS (under load voltages.)

to be fair the PSU is brand new and shouldnt be bust...but then again i did get it from ebuyer
