Nice. I'd use RealTemp for monitoring temps. And I would use IntelBurnTest to push my CPU to the max.

Both display the correct temperatures, and CoreTemp is cooler because it has a plugin on my G15 to show load and temps, and I also used it to make my own app with added fps, gpu temps, cpu load clock date etc...

For temps my Core i7 reaches 74C (but these can take more heat) water cooled, and averages at 45C in gaming and general use.

Sometimes CoreTemp and RealTemp use different TJMax values so it's good to always use both. One reason why I like using RealTemp though is because it shows the min/max/current temp values on screen which is nice to see instead of trawling through your temp log after a night of priming to see the max temp
