Might be worth doing it manually, sometimes using auto setting gives the CPU far more voltage than it realistically needs..... and most E6600s could get between 3.2-3.6GHz just by increasing the voltage from 1.325 to 1.375, which is a relatively small increase.

As everyone else has said though, for gaming just OC your E6600 a bit more.
