Some parts maybe cheaper at Novatech:

Novatech sell the Athlon II X4 630 for around £67:

You might also want to consider the Corsair CX 400W PSU too:

IIRC,you can get cashback on Novatech purchases from TopCashBack and Quidco.

Re: Self Build or Pre Built? £500

Just belated note to say I got the system a week or so ago and all seems to be good.

When I ordered Scan had an offer on when you brought 2 Samsung HD103SJ's so I have 2 in RAID 1, but other than that it's the same as CAT-THE-FIFTH suggested.

Edit: Oh yeah and there were no SATA cables included with the Motherboard or the HDD's. When I did ring up Scan and question this they sent me 1 a week later. Cheers.

Re: Self Build or Pre Built? £500

    AMD Athlon II X4 640
    MSI 870-C45
    4GB 1600MHZ DDR3
380W Antec EarthWatts EA380D PSU as the Corsair CX400W was out of stock.

And then pretty much as you listed just with 2 1TB Samsung's as there was a Scan today only deal on.

Building it wasn't too much bother either once I got some SATA cables and worked out he motherboard didn't have firewire support, but the case did! I spent at least 10 minutes trying to work out where the IEEE1394 cable plugged into the the motherboard.
