I assume your going for it for SLI features as Intel's own P35/45 is better for overclocking.

As a side note, are you mad??? spending that much on a now end of life platform - you could pick yourself up a decent X58 board for half of that price, or even a completely new rig.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

£300, but it does have integrated waterblocks. I do agree though, if this is for a new build, go P55 or X58.

If it's an upgrade, try and sell some stuff to get money for a P55 / X58 or swap your two cards for one etc...

For £300 I would expect the motherboard to be gold plated!!

Re: Anyone running EVGA black pearl motherboard?

Question, how much does a set of motherboard water blocks cost?
How much does a new motherboard cost if you mess up the fitting of said waterblocks and break something?

However yes I do agree £300 for a 790i chipset motherboard is not worth it, if you're going for super high overclocks or want sli it would be better to look at a p55 or p58 and a core i5 or i7 cpu.
If you can get it for far less, then the question is how much less?

    Hi again all,

cheers for the replys, will be fitting a GTX295 hydro copper and may add a second at some point.....

I was hoping to get one for £200 ish, I prefer to buy a board with pre fitted blocks......

If they put this to £150 I think I would consider it...
