Question MSI Mega 180 Deluxe Barebones System

    any thoughts?

I am thinking about getting one of these for my nephews so they can do school work on them and also use it as a hi fi.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

They are pretty nice systems. Good for kids todo work on/use as a hi fi. You wouldn't need too much of a powerful system for school work so it should be well within the Mega 180's capabilities. Alot of people don't like them because of the built in hi fi but i'm sure the kids would love it

Starbuck, I was thinking of getting a Mega 180 to start with, has some useful features. But it doesn't have enough features to justify the extra £'s over the price of a shuttle

Theres a new system by Aopen called the EA65 which has all the onboard features of the latest P4 Shuttles and has an Instant Mode same as the Mega 180 for playing CD's, MP3's, Radio and DVD's without booting into Windows. I'm very tempted to swap it for my SB75G2 if I can get one in the UK.

Wouldn't thouch the MSI with a 10 foot stick. The crappy cooling system, shody design and construction are to much of a worry.

That AOpen box above looks to me like it has come straight from the 90's Looks a bit dated to be honest and if you already have a shuttle BeelzebubUK, then is it worth the swap you have to ask yourself?

I did and it wasn't worth it

If I hadn't bought the the SB75G2 it might have been a different story.
