So It looks like i will be waiting for a long time then to buy me a new computer.....
Will these ram shortages affect Graphic card prices???

Its alot like the exchange rate... recently i had 300,000 yen which i wanted to change
up into pounds the rate was 180 to the pound last november and when i needed the
money it was at 207 in feburary i had to hold out for a couple of months till it went down to a reasonable 192.. the difference was over £100... off topic i know but also
if you have cash or want cash for holidays M&S do the best rate by far they rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe all over anyone else no commision and the rate is only slightly above the real rate.

Did big companys like Dell not buy up shed loads of DDR RAM for their machines a while back and the price is on the up because of this as well?

One of the main reasons why ram prices have gone up is because of the politics scene over in Taiwan, where the majority of ram is made.

So what can you tell us about Taiwanese politics? And why does this mean we have to pay more for our ram?
For joy, apparently, it was all Franny could do to hold the phone, even with both hands.

Haven't been following it much recently (my ex was Taiwanese so I used to read up on it a lot). From what I know, there was a general election in the last couple of months, and after the elections, new legislations come out which affect the Taiwanese industry, things like import/export tax.
