My shiney new card works just fine thanks.
With the exception of sound. I think I have some sort of conflict between the Realtek onboard audio and the 5870. Sound in games works, but music in windows does not. In my device manager I now have two audio devices and I suspect this is the issue.
What's the fix ?

Tried just setting your sound to play through the Realtek system? It'll be in your sound options.
Seems to be set as speakers through Realtek. Ati is shown as not plugged in.

device manager - disable the hdmi audio device?
Should sort you out I would imagine.

Hmmm...tried that. I have laso spent a fun few minutes re-applying the plugs to the pairs of speakers. Seems I had lost some along the way ??
I'll try some more later, but aleast the music is back up !
