    why's my pc3200 ram recognised as pc2700

    hello
    in cpu-z my 512 mb of OCZ ram is recognised as a 512mb of pc2700 ram
    i put a 256mb stick of elixer pc3200 ram in to test it and it recognises this as
    nanya technologies pc3200 ram !?!
    even when they are both in its still comes up pc2700
    any ideas how this is
    the ram is currently running a 213 fsb @ 11-2-2-2

    It's probably because the SPD was programmed before JEDEC announced the official PC3200 standards. Corsair used to do the same with their XMS3200C2.
