    Re: ~£550 upgrade build

Thanks for all ideas so far, I've currently settled on the following bits:

-OCZ 60gb SSD for the boot drive
    - 4gb RAM upgrade
    - c2d quad

The system won't really get used for gaming but I just want to make sure it'll handle HD video, win7 aero etc. effortlessly. Any thoughts on which graphics card to go for which will be a decent step up from my current 7600gt but which retains the same single slot form factor, has dual dvi output and will be powered ok by my 485w enermax psu (32A 12v rail) -

Don't mind going second hand or previous generation so I can get the most performance for around £70 -£75, any thoughts on something like this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...tid=56&subcat=

Also any ideas on which sub £200 24" monitor to go for - looking at this one http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/236-A...-Speakers-VESA

    I just got this

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/174584

All the "professional" reviews of it were pretty poor, however the user reviews were good, so I took a risk, and I'm happy with it, and I'd definitely get it again. All the "Pro" reviews recommended "similarly priced" monitors instead, but when I looked at them they were twice the price than the Samsung was (WTF?).

I would wait for the BenQ VW2420H:

It has an A-MVA panel with LED backlighting.
