I have a lenova N500 laptop and recently I have been having problems with my output devices. First the hdmi then the vga has stopped working. Both are connected to my projector but it detects neither the hdmi or vga. HELP

did you check it's the outputs on the N500? if you can plug in the VGA or hdmi to a different monitor you'd be sure. IIRC, IBM's guarantees were very good, perhaps Lenovo keep up with that tradition? You can probably download some diagnostic procedures from the hardware manuals section on Lenovo.com
