    AMD A64 S754 mobos.... K8T800 Pro or nForce3 250GB??

    Hi guys

Some of the UK residents may have read the Custom PC magazine and their readers' drives section. Well I won it and am being featured in the magazine!!!

That means I have won 6 prizes from PCW components (not sure what my choice will be yet!) but the last 2 editions have had A64 3200+s and an MSI K8T NEO-FIS2R motherboard.

What I was going to do was sell my Intel system and use these as a basis for a temp A64 system till S939 comes out.

I was going to sell the MSI board as it has no AGP/PCI locks and need one

I was thinking along the lines of either: -

    K8T800 Pro
    • ABIT K8V Pro

      nForce3 250GB
    • EPoX EP-8KDA3+
    • MSI K8N NEO PLATINUM

    Any others or suggestions please

I hear good things abt the Epox, plus they do make good overclocking boards. Currently tho the Via boards tend to be faster than the n-force.

The best one atm is MSI's K8N Neo, but actually there is not much difference between K8T800 PRO and the nForce 3 250Gb, and in benchmarking there is even not much difference between a K8T800 board ( ASUS K8V Deluxe ), only more overclocking options !
