    Question New Case

    Hi

My current PC is housed in an Antec P182 however I am finding the case a little too restrictive due to its size.

I am looking to move up to a full tower case due to increased airflow and more space to work inside the case. I am currently looking at the Lian-Li PC 2120X full black case, it has a lot of benefits namely:

    • Enhanced Airflow
    • More room to work inside
    • Tool-less upgrading
    • Minimalist looks

There is one major drawback though, the £414 price tag, which my colleague would call "insane".

Can anyone give me some pointers to cheaper cases that may fit the bill?

    Regards

    Mark

Yes, however my RAM is now 24GB (6x 4GB) and there is also a Crucial RealSSD C300 256GB doing C: drive duties.

    Re: New Case

Hmm, if you insist on toolless than afaik only really Lian-li will cater for this. Cheaper cases than the 2021x would be the A70 or A71 which are both under £200.

If could manage with some screws, then take a look at the Silverstone FT02 also. The Corsair 800D is a very clean looking case as is the TJ-07 but these latter two are more geared towards water cooling. The 800D especially has relatively poor air cooling compared to the FT02.

Be warned though full tower cases are enormous, especially the Lian-li's. They dwarf components inside them. Full tower can also get very expensive if you decide you don't like the original fans and want to upgrade. The FT02 has very good fans and you won't need to add anymore which is a plus. The Lian-li stock fans might need replacing but depends whether you think they give enough cooling. Another plus for the lian-li is that they sell a crap load of accessories so parts that wear out of break can easily be fixed.
